Being healthy doesn’t end with food and fitness; a healthy lifestyle includes practicing positive behaviors, setting and achieving goals, overcoming barriers, resisting risky situations, and developing self-confidence.

PROJECT KIDSIGHT- VISION TESTING

In partnership with the Lions Club, Project Kidsight is a program that offers vision testing for preschool and school-aged children with the mission of vision screening and follow-up care so that all children can see clearly.

BE THERE

The goal of the Be There program is to implement a comprehensive approach to help Clubs build supportive relationships and integrate best practices in supporting youth experiencing daily grief, bereavement and other major life altering losses.

TRIPLE PLAY

Triple Play is a comprehensive health and wellness program. It strives to improve the overall health of Club members ages 6–18 by increasing daily physical activity, teaching them about good nutrition, and helping them develop healthy relationships.

SMART Girls

SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention & education, and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 9–14. Club girls explore their own and societal values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, accessing good health care, and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.

PASSPORT TO MANHOOD

Club boys, ages 9–14, learn about responsibility through fourteen sessions concentrating on various aspects of manhood. Each participant receives his own "passport” to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of growth.

SMART MOVES

Participants in SMART Moves, aged 6–14, are exposed to various activities that hone their decision-making and critical-thinking skills so they can avoid and/or resist alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and premature sexual activity.

NIGHT COURT/ SLAY THE COURT

On Friday nights, when the Teen Center is normally closed, Night Court is a unique summer program that combines mentoring and basketball to help members focus on positive behaviors and develop strong relationships with adult volunteer community leaders. Slay the Court is the partner program for young ladies held at the Youth Campus

POSITIVE SPROUTS

A comprehensive community gardening initiative, Positive Sprouts improves children’s habits of health and nutrition as members learn about nutrition, gardening practices and cooking from the garden.

AGAINST THE ROPES

The Against the Ropes Boxing fitness program objective is to keep teens on a path to success. The program teaches discipline and respect, as well as self-defense. There is a focus on personal safety, self-defense, member-to-member teaching, gang prevention, and service-learning projects.
